About Me

Skill Level:
Semi-Pro
Instruments:
Guitar (All), Voice (All)
Genres:
blues, rock, jazz blues, jazz groove, jazz-funk, funk (all)
Influences:
Prince, Stevie Wonder, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jeff Buckley, Grateful Dead, Phish, Grant Green, Jimmy Herring, Queen, A Tribe Called Quest, The Beatles, Wilco, Eric Clapton, Aretha Franklin, Donny Hathaway, John Scofield, The Band

I started playing guitar in the summer of 1999, and within about a year I was playing "Live/Dead" by the Grateful Dead note-for-note. At college I spent most of my time listening to and playing along with soul and funky jazz from artists like Stevie Wonder, Donny Hathaway, Grant Green and Herbie Hancock. I got pretty good (in my opinion) and had a really great feel for groove music, but life got the best of me and I ended up only playing once every few days and simply trying to maintain my chops.

Since 2005 I have mostly been playing blues music. I don't play as often as I would like, but I'm hoping I can meet some like-minded musicians to make some music with and start making music again!

Holler at me!

Hehe. Thanks man. We appreciate words like that, especially from Indaba staff. If you like that one, you should check out our Subterfuge Remix. We got a lot of positive feedback on Acid Planet for it. Thanks again

hey i see you play blues and stuff. I played the piano for 10 years now and im studing music and technology and i work with Fl Studio 7, Logic 7 , Max/MSP 5, Processing, my yamaha keyboard psr K1 and my mac laptop:P.. But anyways i find blues, funk, jazz and stuff very cool with those weird cool chords like 7,9,11,13 chords. I really love those kinda chords and i compose songs whose works with those chords. Anyway if you are interested in contact, add me with msn:mojo_mojo@live.nl;) I hope to hear from you soon!

'By the fall of 2002 I had stopped listening to "jam bands"'

Does that mean you didn't do any "listening" at all at the 15+ Phish shows you've seen since then????

Thanks for checking out our profile sorry we just got our group together a few weeks ago and we have a hard time getting in contact so our songs together are coming slow, but just uploaded another song to the PBS Contest "Cold Bacon" if you want to check it out! It's kinda lame I guess, but its worth a listen since I only used the PBS samples!
