Sensitive // Peace Partners

Saturday September 05, 2009 at 05:50 AM

Hi Indabians,

"Sensibile" is a song in Italian written for the group Peace Partners. In my post to the group I wrote "English lyrics on demand!" and straight after I received and e-mail asking for a translation... Ok: this is my first draft of the English version of "Sensibile"... It is written by Aledelu in a quite smooth poetic way I really couldn't translate in its nouances... If you don't understand something please, report it to me!

Sensitive

religion and science
the superpower
you feel the absence of thought,
the absence of dreams
to make them real, maybe

Broken peace
Polluted boredoom
An overdose of overmuch

Sensitive to this disorder
Discreetely looking for conquering the right sense of it

politics and science
false tolerance
You couldn't live so shakily, so passably again
Your financial strenght

The global market
The social dissatisfaction
This criminal indifference

Resist to this disorder
Discreetely looking for conquering the right sense of it
nonetheless

Sensitive to this disorder
Discreetely looking for conquering the right sense of it
nonetheless

Song dialects

Thursday March 19, 2009 at 03:10 AM

My last session "Yet another day in the hospital" is going to its end.

This time there was a flash collab flux. At first its name was "Yet another day" to which "in the hospital" has been added as St. Paul commented in this way: "I like the changes, sick drums, sick guitars, this beat belongs in the hospital!!!" ...

In a few days Dizzy, Phyn, Pach, Lars, David, Mr. Funkymonk and Minime sent their ideas. All of them were about only one theme: the hospital :-)))

Another few days and different mixes came out. Obviously, I have done my mix, but I cannot exlude the others could be more effective than mine. They are like different dialects, different conjugations of the same concept...

How can I do? I decided to leave the session open, giving time to all the ones who are interested to get their preferred version... leaving these dialects live could be a way for giving more satisfaction to my "costumers" :-)))

I don't know, I ask indabians to leave their comments: what's your preferred dialect?

Awarded in many ways

Finally, Vibratile song is published.

On my profile I uploaded two versions:

  • "naked" 3:30''
  • "indabamusic style" 4:18''

This session has been a really "winning" one:

I have to give a big "thank you" to Aledelu *, David A. & Minime C. the three main contributors.

And special thanx go to Mantis Evar & Indabamusic staff.

I love this network!

Vibratile feedback

Saturday February 14, 2009 at 09:07 AM

Mantis Evar posted this on my session Vibratile:

Congratulations fellow Indabians! This tune picked up a little press! Check it out and feel free to respond on their post - http://www.guitarlicksandtips.com/2009/02/13/the-indaba-musician-networking-scene/ Keep up the great work!

I've read it and this is what I have to say about it:

  1. Chris, thank you for your "psychedelic, Pink Floydish"... please sign in!!
  2. Vibratile couldn't be so "psychedelic, Pink Floydish" or whatever without Minime C. (mixing), Aledelu (female voice) and David A. (male voice)... Thank you and thanks to all the Vibratile collaborators. Let's work, the session is still open!
  3. The core collaborators of my Indabamusic sessions are more or less always the same. That is why I am feeling like being part of one band...

Ok, I close here. Just 2 thing more to Mantis and the Indabamusic staff:

  1. Did you ever think about doing "Virtual bands" on Indabamusic?
  2. Do I win a pro account? :-)

Back to Indabamusic

Saturday January 24, 2009 at 06:56 AM

Hi, this is Lorf,

after months of nomadism I am finally back to my renewed and very cleaned house. I have:

1. my computer and music stuff

2. my internet connection

3. a bran new child :))) Her name is Nora, she wonderfull!

Now some indabamusic thinks:

1. finally I uploaded my version of a beautiful song by Eli (http://www.indabamusic.com/sessions/724060465/2452)

2. I have done 2 versions (one in english one in italian) of Tacchi a Spillo (http://www.indabamusic.com/sessions/lorf/14856)

Thank to Josie and Carla for their beautiful voices... I wait for your comments ;)

Cold session...

Saturday July 05, 2008 at 03:33 AM

It's true, I didn't blogged "new session open". I didn't ask for collaboration (unless to Minime :)) ). It's true, I didn't work on my open collaborations.

Yes, I have big questions to fix in this period. For example I am renewing completely my apartment and guitars, keys etc. are buried somewhere in the mess... And my "musicity" it's becoming just something confined in my mind...That's why I need you, Indabapeople! I need people working on my "Tacchi a Spillo"!

Two session closed, next session soon!

Tuesday January 29, 2008 at 08:40 AM

Ola,

Yesterday I closed the two sessions I opened in these last 3 months: "Banzai 22 november 2007" and "The Bzz". My first experience in this network has been really, really positive. I really wish to thank Minime c., David a.,  Anne (& Marty), Darmius, and those people who passed by and listened to my(our) music.

Two other things:

1. I decided to present myself with the two songs I've worked on thanks to Indabamusic network;
2. I am working to the next session :))

Ciao!

The Bzz session

Monday January 07, 2008 at 03:07 AM

My "The bzz" session (www.indabamusic.com/sessions/lorf/7803) started with two contributions (Minime and Darmius). Probably drums track has not the sound I imagine for this song and I will work on it soon. I am really looking for someone who will sing it!

Everybody is welcome!
