I'm traditionally a keyboard player, but I like to dance so I'm into rhythm and percussion too. I recently got Logic Pro and am experimenting with it. I have ideas for loops which would probably sound good with a voice or lyrics over it, but I'm no singer so I won't put you through that. Possibly looking to collaborate with a singer/lyricist who likes some of my beats/loops, although I'm also trying to write music that could stand on it's own without a voice. Any knowledge of Logic Pro greatly appreciated as well!

p.s. Where are the women at? I feel like this is 80% men and 20% women here.

Working With Others

How I Work:

I suggest something, you suggest something, I re-work, you re-work... like hammering out a sword of sorts, being a blacksmith.

I would love to collaborate with other people who bring good ideas and talent! I like combining different textures and sounds of music from all over the world and different genres. I'm not an expert in any one area, but I try and get a feel for a variety of different music. Have any you'd like to suggest?

Experience:

Piano since the age of 4, composition since age 7, clarinet between the ages of 11-18,with some snare drum on the side, choir the last 2 years of college, but I wouldn't call myself a "singer" if you know what I mean.

Equipment:

MacBook Pro.
Logic Pro.
Yamaha MM8.

Very cool. I have not been to Seatle but have heard good things about it. The UK - same deal. :P So I'm intruiged by Amazing Grace inparticular because of the seemingly natural and non computerized sound of the instruments. Did you somehow play them and record them seperately? And if so, or if not, which instruments are they? I think i recognize a guitar and then some sort of stringed instr. And how did you record your Beethoven Variations(by the way I think is wonderful)? I've only ever had a tape recorder from the 80's. I'm trying to get something on indaba but don't know where to start. I have a Casio but its old. Sorry I am curious and usually have too many questions. Feel free to ignore.

sorry for being another man on indaba...but i listened to all of your peices and I thought they were fantastic! Keep up the good work :)
