I don't really "have" great talent but I am blessed to have enough sense to realize that 1.) I do "have" a little, 2.) that many people would give anything to have the little that I "have" and 3.) even if I were to "have" great talent, it wouldn't belong to me anyway. :-)
- Band or Group:
- WRGBC Worship Team
- Favorite Lyric:
Intro:
Oh Dear Lord!
You made many, many poor people.
I realize, of course, it's no shame to be poor -
But it's no great honor, either! ;-)
So what would have been so terrible
If I had
A *small* fortune?Outro:
God, who made the lion and the lamb,
You decreed I should be what I am.
[But] would it spoil some vast, eternal plan -
If...I were a WEALTHY MAN! ;-)
- Day Job:
- Corporate IT
- How I Work:
Right now I play for fun (since I have a great day job). For as long as possible I intend to keep it this way. Unless great riches are suddenly involved, all I need is to see my name in the credits (spelled correctly, of course - LOL).
If I can play for you and have fun doing it, then I am glorifying God and being true to His will for me. :-)
So if it's fun and within the range of my abilities, I'll find a way to get it done for you. :-)DOWNTIME:
I work 6a-5p, Monday thru Friday. I can usually devote an hour or so per week-night to music - school's back in, however, so my kids might need more of my timefor awhile. Thrusdays now I have worship team rehearsal. If the Mrs. has plans for us anytime, then (of course) that trumps everything. ;-)
- Experience:
Self-taught by listening to the radio as a teenager back in the mid-seventies. My talent began with the ability to hear (uncomplicated) music and being able to play the bassline before the song ended on the radio. :-)
I played semi-pro until the early 80's when the joy of playing left me. A series of (un)fortunate events led me to pick it back up and learn several new things - a new style of music (Contemporary Christian), how much I rely my drummer, how to play a 5-string, how less is often more with the bass (placing a single note is an art, whereas running 10 million notes together in a single measure is a skill) (a lost skill, apparently :-).
I just discovered Indaba Music on August 24, 2007 - in just a few days I have had more fun than I have had in the last several years! I get the feeling that somehow, I'm supposed to be here. :-)

Yeah thanks for comment if you have any ideas then we can work and make music.Smile
Send me a track sometime, I'd love to give it a master, and if you dig it and feel it's clean but 'unprocessed,' I'll send you all the settings, so you can figure it out... Just figured I'd see what's up, I had read your post on The Mastering House group. Best wishes.
Thanks a lot for your feedback! I hope to finish the new remix soon and upload it again to the contest! Good luck my friend! :)
Mark,
I like your songs.Ho Hum is wild. Your worship track is cool too.. Keep on being true!
Peace,
Joe
Thank you for the add Mark. Hope to hear more and possibly work together in the future. Cheers.
Hey, thanks for your comments man. Really appreciate. I'll check out your session soon. Cheers.
Haha - thanks so much Mark! There's definitely no such thing as too many suggestions, so keep 'em coming - we really do appreciate it. Glad you like the tracks too - obviously the artists and then Dan/Mantis were the real creative forces, but I feel lucky to have been involved!
Hey Mark - since I beat Dan to your post in the Leo Laporte forum, I think I should get the theme song - perhaps "Matt the Man"? That would be AWESOME and I would be forever grateful :) I can even make sure Dan blames me and not you for the switch.
Mark, I am so glad I found you! You put Jesus as your #1 influence, something I held back from doing, to my great discredit and shame, and then I listened to "Show Us Who You Are" and it reminded me of who I am! HIS! HE IS my greatest influence and now I am eager to let everyone know too! Thank You and God bless you and your household! Annie T. :o)
Thanks for hooking up, your influences are tops in my book, cheers!
Hey Mark this is Korrita. Thanks for coming by. I really like the click track. I am going to work on it and re upload the song again. Again thanks.
