In college Dan and I started a non-profit label for student musicians called Veritas Records. Although I used to play the piano, my brother got all the real musical talent in the family (he plays the sax, among other things) - so this was the first experience that really got me interested in the professional side of music.

Working together on Veritas was how Dan and I ended up with the ideas that eventually formed the core of Indaba Music. We looked at significant trends in the industry, particularly the spread of cheap digital production technology and digital distribution. These developments were incredibly exciting to us because they enabled musicians and music professionals to create music in new ways and get it heard by more people than ever before. We wanted to figure out a way for musicians to take advantage of these trends so that they could easily work together no matter where they were. Eventually, our ideas evolved into Indaba Music. The core of that idea is what you see here, but we also plan to grow it and add functionality that we think will continue making things easier for musicians, music professionals, and listeners.

Currently I'm here in New York working with the rest of the Indaba Music team and enjoying the city...

How I Work:

At Indaba. Hard. Sometimes efficiently, sometimes not. Well with others.

Experience:

- Producing compilation albums
- Producing live events in Boston and NYC

Before we’re done here, you’ll all be wearing gold plated diapers.

ProTools HD 3 Accel. Just kidding. The Indaba Console and an SM57 are just fine (if you can auto tune my vocals).

Nice musicianship, but composing isn't necessarily about musicianship, in fact, it can and often does, impede such endeavours.

Everything's in place, jus need to work on yo' melodies an' riffs, all intervals ain't equal, get yo' ear-candy sorted an' u got half a chance, er, drop da JAZZ, my point being, Picasso's moi man, but if'n i woz a painter i wouldn't want to be a Cubist cos it's "Old Hat" but the Cubist influence would be very much, er, it is actually, evident in moi Art, but you do 'ave 2 dig for it, get moi drift? no Jazz on da surface.

Thanks for the kind words... Always nice to get positive feedback on ur music, especially now that everything is a little unreal, or at least de-materialized. But warmth can be felt through an internet high speed connection too!!!!
I've read ur bio... Kudos 2 u and ur brother for having brought such opportunities to the music community.

Wow...what can I say? Really dig Nasstier, some very cool jazz. Puzzle is my next favorite, I got a Radiohead vibe from it, must be the vocals...great work. I just read you are involved with the site, I've only been listening for a few days, and am very impressed with the talent here. I hope I stand a chance in the remix contests. Have a happy new year.

Cheers to good mixing. (SERIOUSLY TO THE BEST SONGS POSSIBLE)

Josh Bisher wrote on November 18, 2008:

Haha thanks, but honestly I hope I can not make a fool of myself on this one.... Last comp I didn't take my time, and work out the fine tuning, but I'm going all out on these songs. I will be more than happy to hear out ur mix's and give imput. After all we are opposite in style, and hopefully you'll work with me too. If we have different styles giving imput we will be able to attract many artists to our mix's. - Josh

urgent doubt: 1- Could I accept the invitations to do interviews in the tv and to play the remix of Mariah? 2 - I was in 18 th in september 12. Could I have send to them or need I wait the finish of the count and audit of the votes? Many people of midia, national newspapers, portals websites, and even fans of Mariah are me sending e-mails asking were they can download my remix or if I can send this remix per e-mail to them. They want put this remix to download in your sites. Yesterday, I receive one e-mail of Mariah's fans that say: "Please, please, please send to me, is so sexy etc..." I'm very happy for participating of this contest. This really change my life and work how producer. And was a pleasure stay between the first ones with many good works. Congratulations per idea!
