After the Jump Fest this Saturday was great - hopefully a bunch of you made it out to Brooklyn for the show (I think we saw some of you there...). Luckily the permit for the outdoor venue didn't come through - I say luckily because it was about 102 degrees in NYC on Saturday and it was much, much nicer to be in an air-conditioned venue. It's was really exciting to see other young people who care about music put on an event like After the Jump, especially when it's for a good cause. There was a very positive energy at the event...bloggers, bands, and fans, all of whom were there to hear great music and raise awareness for music education. Our friends Jukebox the Ghost put on a great show as usual, and I thought that Ra Ra Riot lived up to the hype that seems to be surrounding them here in New York. I hadn't heard them live before, and it was definitely a great performance. I am looking forward to seeing them again soon. Unfortunately I couldn't stay for the night shows, but I hear they were great too.
