IMPORTANT NOTE:
I'm really sorry to have to say this, but due to my excessively busy schedule and older computer equipment, I will not be able to accept any offers to participate in sessions. Thanks for the all interest!

I am a self proclaimed "Jazz Synthesist". Carrying forward the language & traditions of jazz and mixing them with all manner of modern styles. Funk, Prog, Ambient, nu-jazz, Modern Classical - all this music and more informs my compositional process.
I have been working professionally for more than 30 years. Highlights include Composing 2 full length off-Broadway shows in the 80's; touring with The Machine (Pink Floyd Tribute) for a solid ten years; 5 self produced CD'S, appearances on CD'S by many local artists; Musical Director in many different situations; Transcribing the "Rite Of Spring" for solo piano; etc. etc.
I just released my new CD "Tugging At The Infinite" and am currently booking my group NAIL as much as possible, while doing a ton of jazz pick up work, both acoustic & Electric. Take note: there is NO ELECTRIC GUITAR on the sound clips.

Working With Others

How I Work:

It's difficult for me to find time. I will restrict myself to only doing projects I am really interested in...
All rates are negotiable.
I generally can't work wednesdays; I have a lot of evening gigs usually wed/thur/fri/sat; work at a dance conservatory mon-tue-thur-fri days...and I have a 10 year old.
But don't write me off! If I dig where you're coming from, I'll make the time. Of course, good ole fashioned networking ain't a bad thing, either.

Experience:

I'll get back to this...it's kind of like "What haven't I done....?" You name it, I've been there. Rock & Roll bands to experimental ambient performance installations; straight ahead bepop gigs to mad fusion; solo classical piano; CD production, live sound, musical director for theater, compose for dance, film, geez.

Equipment:

Many Synthesizers - Powerbook G4 Laptop. I'll post details at a later date.

I have loaded up 2 new tracks, I wondered if you had a few mins just to leave me some feedback? I hope you have a good evening mate!

Hello! Everyman is a beautiful piece of music, I really love the World type feel, the drum work well and the song arrangements is very good! I also love Starlight Casts no shadow which is a magnificent contrast to the first piece. Very chilled very easy listening, well done mate!
White out again is a complete contrast but is gain very pleasant to listen to. Excellent drums! The rhythm and bass section is outstanding :-)
What program do you use?

Nice tunes Neil. I'm really digging "School of Velocity". I'm new to indaba, but perhaps we can collaborate sometime in the future. Best wishes and take care. - Rick
