Born in Florida and raised in Germany, I've just landed in LA after spending college in a few places on the east coast and a year working in DC.

I grew up with my mom listening to Motown and R&B and my dad listening to 70s rock. Because of that my musical tastes are diverse, but I spend most of my time tracking down and grooving to soul music in all its forms. My record collection is a couple thousand strong between LPs, 12"s, and 45s and growing all the time. I shared the choice cuts on my weekly radio show called the Apple Juice Breaks most recently on WMUC in College Park, MD.

I graduated from the University of Maryland magna cum laude with honors in Economics in 2007 and joined a top international consulting firm that year where I currently work to pay the bills.

From a far back as I can remember music has affected me and been a huge force in my life. Whether it was signing along to "I heard it through the grapevine" in my underwear strumming a red plastic guitar as a toddler or banging out sampled grooves on my MPC today, everything I do gonna be funky.

If you like what you hear and are in the LA area, drop me a line. I'm always looking out for collaborators, mentors, friends, and fellow diggers.

Working With Others

How I Work:

Ideally, I'd like to meet people locally to collaborate and work with. I think the best collaborations and creative projects come about naturally and organically from a shared artistic vision and I think the best way to achieve that is face-to-face interaction. But barring that, I'm looking for MCs with good flow and witty word play to match my sampled, loop-based beats.

Equipment:

Akai MPC 2000XL, Akai S950, Alesis Micron, 2x Technics 1200 MK5s, Mackie 24 8 bus console, Logic Studio 8, Mac Pro 8 Core (2009), Event Studio Precision 6 Active Monitors
