For Nick Fevola, film scoring provides an opportunity for his passion for music and love for dramatic storytelling to come together. His varied education and experience in jazz, rock, pop and classical music allows him to bridge stylistic gaps while creating music that is expressive and thoughtful. Nick’s music has been described as “timeless, evocative, and inspiring.” Fevola was born 1982 in Queens, NY. His musical journey started at a young age, while marching with his dad to the sounds of their family record player. After years of music education and trombone playing, he began pursuing music composition formally at Hofstra University. There he studied with electronic music legend Herbert Deutsch, Academy Award winner Ken Lampl, and jazz pianist and composer David Lalama. Shortly after his graduation, Nick moved to Los Angeles to study music for film through the acclaimed Scoring for Motion Pictures and Television program at the University of Southern California. While at the program, he had the opportunity to learn from the likes of film composers Chris Young and John Frizzell and orchestrator and conductor Pete Anthony. Shortly before graduation in May of 2007, Nick and five of his USC colleagues formed Q6 Studios, where he currently serves as composer, director and CFO. In addition to composing for his own projects, Nick currently works at the studio of film composer Elia Cmiral, where he has recently been involved with the scores for Pulse 2 and Splinter. He has also been part of the team at Steven Juliani Music, where he contributed in music preparation for projects including Mr. Magorium’s Wonder Emporium, Alvin and the Chipmunks, and Meet the Browns.

- How I Work:
I own and operate a studio in the downtown LA area with five other composers. We each work independently and in collaboration on projects in film, television, video games and online media. Our facilities allow us to deal with the entire music creation process from composition through recording and final mastering on site. I'm interested in connecting with producers and directors for future collaboration and also with musicians for recording on our sessions.

Hi Nick,
Thanks for the comment.i've been away from indaba for a while doing some acoustic stuff. My intention is to replace the horns and flutes on serotonic with real instruments, but i haven't had much luck finding players...
i'm going to be travelling for the next couple of months, but if you are interested, i'll invite you to the session
!
Nick Fevola, "Through the Smoke" is beautiful. The journey, the passion, and the music is truly moving. When I listened to this particular composition, I heard the influence of James Horner and you expressed yourself brilliantly. Nick Fevola, excellent art indeed. Do visit sometime. Peace and rock on, Allan Blanks.

Hey Nick, you've got some great stuff on here, man. I saw that you're a film composer so I thought I'd check you out. I also score for films and I'm hopefully going to be moving down to the LA area by this coming Fall. Actually it's more like the Northridge area. How do you like it down there? And how does running your studio work out for you?
