About Me

Craft:
musician, writer, student
Instruments:
electric bass, electric guitar, drums, keyboard
Genres:
rock, electronic, country, soul, hip hop

I've played gigs for about 10 years now, backing up some wonderful musicians such as Debra Farris, Kyle Jennings, and Mike Moore, as well as spending time in the greatest cover band ever, Dick Van Dork.

As far as recording goes, like most of us, I lay down them tracks in a room I've glorified by calling it "the studio."

Extended

Influences:
James Jamerson and Karl Marx.
Favorite Lyric:

Hey, baby! Whatcha know good? I'm just getting back but you knew I would. War is hell - when will it end? When will people start gettin' together again?

Day Job:
Reading books.

Working With Others

How I Work:

Hard, like any Midwesterner. I take criticism well, and I always look to do the bass part that works, not the part that lets me show off the chops. Whether you need a bassline of whole notes or a syncopated, complex part, I'll do my job.

I'm here mostly for public collabs but I can do other work if need be. I can record high quality (24 bit) audio and I have all the necessary gear to get a solid bass tone.

I take pride in doing the job right and supporting other musicians!

Experience:

10+ years gigging.
4+ years digital recording

Equipment:
Fender Jazz and P basses, Washburn xb925 bass, Trace Elliot and MXR preamps, and an old eMachine. Sonic Foundry software. Waves plugins. A black lab mutt.

This guy is a pro! He made the first audition to my song within a day, and after getting some more leash he made even better one. Thanks man! --jussi

Yes. She rocks that mandolin pretty hard, but she also tends to break strings.
