Genres:
jazz-funk, hip hop

Church, radio and house parties with my father behind the 1s and 2s are all vivid memories of growing up in Detroit. However it wasn’t until I began to foster a more personal relationship with God that I developed a deeper interest in music. As I cultivate my skills as a producer, I realize the influence that pop culture and music of the past have had on my creative process. The past few years have been an interesting journey revisiting the oldschool Funk and Jazz that Hip Hop is founded upon. Of all the music that I listen to, those 2 genres remain to be my faves and are a large influence on my style as an emcee and producer.

Charles checkin on that Mariah RMX right now. nice beat. Vocals should be up way more in the mix. chords have a bit of distortion, turn those down a bit. that will help. I like the groove. It works. I can imagine this in a lounge club. Love it when you spice up the attention around 1:45 in the mix. Just double check on the mixdown and there ya go. Check mine too. All the best.
