Just now I saved an email and then sent it… Why on earth would I save an email to my drafts and then send it? I don’t know….hmmm… ? Natural reaction, instinct, habit? I think hitting “Ctrl-S” has become like second nature to me. I’ve noticed it on other occasions too. I randomly hit “Ctrl-S” subconsciously while developing whatever I’m working on. I’m sure I don’t need to explain why. However I will explain the connection that just popped in my mind this very moment (4 hours after starting this entry and wondering what makes it relevant).
We’re always working on and developing something. We invest our time, energy, money, and emotions into everything that is important to us. Recognizing the value of that which we invest in, we file and cherish, we take pictures and remember, we commemorate and celebrate and when these things are on the computer we save them!
So here comes the parallel… If we are so apt to preserve things, why then do we go on living life with no preservation of self. Olay makes their anti-aging serum and there are about 70 different techniques to reverse hair loss but what are we doing to preserve our souls…
Need a “Ctrl-S” button? Check the manual for instructions…
