Working With Others

How I Work:

Piano: My background is in Classical music, Romantic era primarily. It translates best to pop/rock and ballads... that sort of playing is what I'm best at. Jazz, funk, etc... really not my thing, I'm just not funky. I'm available to play on gigs and recording sessions in NYC, and of course, to record for your tracks on Indaba. Please message me so we can discuss, payment will depend on the project/session/gig.

Producing/engineering: Though it may be strange to produce a track via Indaba, I wouldn't hesitate to participate is such a project. You can hear some of my productions on this page and decide for yourself if you like my style and would like me involved. Again, if you're in the NYC area and are looking for an engineer or producer, message me and we'll discuss.

Experience:

Undergrad studying Recorded Music at the Clive Davis Department of Recorded Music at New York University.

Equipment:

Instruments:
upright yamaha piano, 88-key yamaha keyboard p-80, nord lead2x synthesizer, akoustik piano - native instruments.

Darker skin, longer hair, and an outfit tailor made for Bruno. I can give you a trim whenever, just shoot me a text or something. Glad that you're back.

No such thing is occurring - Those guys weren't in fraternities. You should come see them and PJs band play on Friday - its part of the Northside festival.

Hi, your songs are just amazing!
Do you mind helping me with my session?
I need piano tracks in it.

Hope to hear from you.

Definitely some of the best songs I have heard in awhile......

Spikey Jay wrote on May 11, 2009:

Thank you bro! Glad you liked Hate Me. Lol, the intro sound is a snare topped off with an 808 kick as the transient. Fiddled with it a little, and got my "Atom Bomb" effect. I felt it'd be a good way to start the track since the first lyric is "Goodbye, Boston", signifying the end of the artist's life in that city and moving on to the next. And sorry for the false alarm, didn't mean to scare you with that effect haha. Hope all's well with you man... you start your Capstone yet, or know what you want to do for it?

I've cut back on the hair and video games, but a new version of Halo is coming out soon so I may have to switch it up. I'm looking forward to having you in the hood - jam sessions?

David Garrison wrote on April 30, 2009:

O-Man,

I have, indeed, been remiss. I may try to do something this week, just to get the ball rolling. Take note, though, when I say I'm an amateur, I mean I'm the last of the true amateurs. You're opening Pandora's box...

PS can't wait to have your Argentine self back to hang with.

Michael Hyde wrote on April 30, 2009:

Hi Oresti thanks for the add, I'll be in touch

Alexandra Stewart wrote on April 1, 2009:

You should probably start blogging about all of your amazing music experiences in Argentina.. Indaba wont know what to do with themselves

Matt Palmer wrote on February 20, 2009:

[laugh] Think the "Meat, Music & Mystery" blogs are a fab idea! My mouth and ears are salivating.

Thanks for the Joe Press update. Think it's sounding great. The loft's changing: there's much more light now. It's an even happier place. [wink]
