recording the grand

I'm wondering how other piano players are recording their entries - any easy ways to get music from the grand to the computer?

Hello Piano G - Most folks place microphones to pick up the sound and run the mics into the computer. You will probably need an inexpensive analog to digital converter to make this happen. Plug the mics into the converter and the converter plugs into your computer. It's really simple. And, once you have that set up, you can record ANYTHING to the computer. I hope this helps. Have fun Indaba-ing!

I am not a piano-player, but I know some. The easiest way to get the Grand into your computer is in my believe - and this is, how they mostly do it - to use "The Grand", which is a Steinberg-VST-plugin.
