To all potential viewers -please read:
This letter concerns the song I previously uploaded titled "Raspberries Awakening in a Field," with music and lyrics written by Mr. Sam Johnson (S. Johnson). The purpose of this file was originally to be a demonstration of my instrumental skills, and my skills with a drum sequencer.
As with virtually all cover songs uploaded to small-time public profiles, no legal permission was sought to record this derivative work. However, it has come to my attention that the way the song was not represented in the recording as originally intended. Thus, I am offering my public apology to Mr. Johnson.
I would like to stress again, to those who heard the recording, that the song "Raspberries Awakening in a Field" is NOT the original work of R# Major and that the previously available version is NOT endorsed in any way by the original author.
Although Mr. Johnson has not personally requested such, the mp3 has been removed on good faith.
Thank you all for your attention. Much love to all :)

- Experience:
took real piano lessons (real as in classical) as a kid...
self-taught guitarist and bassist, aspiring adequate drummer, and i still play the piano (and accordion!) whenever i get the chance. i like to do things that aren't exactly ordinary.
my biggest pet peeves are basslines which never deviate from the root note and piano players who never let go of the sustain pedal.
i used to write very nerdy-sounding synthesizer music under the pen name R# Major and even though the name doesn't really fit my style anymore i've kept it cause i can't think of anything better.
i guess i'm pretty decent at synthesizing very realistic-sounding drum parts. it's a meticulous process and if i think it's worth it i will do my best to make it sound nothing like something a machine would choke out.
i mostly sit at home pretending to write songs. once i was in a band and we played some pretty cool shit. now i am in college and manage jam with people occasionally ... a good jam session beats getting drunk any weekend.
so basically after stopping with piano lessons i did a bunch of stuff that made me forget all that training...
i guess i still know how to read music.

"my biggest pet peeves are basslines which never deviate from the root note"
Amen to that brother!!!!
Hey man, I really liked "Room with a View" and "Raspberries Awakening in a Field". That's some really nice work you did. I'm particularly impressed with how realistic your drum machine programing sounds. I can totally hear the Radiohead influence in your voice. Don't stop writing. You've got some talent!
Peace & Love
