Back in the days when I was a teenager Before I had status and before I had a pager You could find the Abstract listening to hip hop My pops used to say, it reminded him of be-bop I said, well daddy don't you know that things go in cycles The way that Bobby Brown is just ampin like Michael Its all expected, things are for the lookin If you got the money, Quest is for the bookin Life is just a dream, you wake at the end Only just a smile then live it again Turning into blue....

How I Work With Others

Overview

In the NYC area I am available for gigs, sessions, and recording. Payment contingent upon time commitment/situation.

When things are going well, quickly and well.
When I'm stuck, I play my piano until I'm not
Then quickly and well again.
When Logic has a quirky glitch, I berate my computer until it behaves.
Then quickly and well again.
When someone doesn't like what I've done, I save it because it's probably awesome. Then I sit in a corner for an hour, listen to either Brahms, Mehldau, Lil' Wayne, or J Moss and try again.
Then quickly and well.

Experience

Quite a bit. I consider myself a jazz piano player, but don't hold that against me. I can probably produce or write any type of music you require adequately, my favorite to write late night is hip-hop and R&B. Then I sing and rap my lungs out with ridiculous lyrics.

Equipment

Phine Phalanges
Money on my mind, money money on my mental.
A pen and a sword (equally)

Sibelius!

and Logic Pro w/ plugins and other fun things.

Payment

This user does not accept PayPal for session payment.

We haven't worked together on Indaba.

Technical skills are one thing. But, you don't expect a 23 year-old to play with such nuance, feeling and maturity. Rick is really really good.
