synoflex is a musician that has been composing music most of his life and recording electronic music now for nearly 15 years.

Starting out with piano from a young age, synoflex took music lessons for about 2 years but soon stopped to focus more on composing his own pieces. He is also a self taught guitarist.

In the early days synoflex used an Atari ST to compose music with MIDI keyboards, but it wasn't until his work editing beats with digital audio editing software that he would chop up his first breakbeat. synoflex explains, "Recycling is more than diverting garbage from landfills. It is a way of life. The short video about appropriation & culture jamming by Craig Baldwin describes the art form best. Take what already exists and remix it in your own way."

Synoflex was influenced from a young age with the sounds of early '80's electro hip hop, record scratching, reggae/dub, blues, rock, funk, and music from all over the world. In 1992 he heard his first 'hardcore' tune with a sped up 'Amen Brother" breakbeat forever changing his ideas of what music is and can be.

Synoflex began DJing at parties and raves in the late '90's and has attempted to mix every and all styles together. That is how he came up with the name synoflex. He states that mixing and composing electronic music is the bringing of two sounds together that have elastic and bouncing qualities.

From drum & bass, techno, house and hip hop to reggae, blues and rock & roll, synoflex's eclectic sounds create an interesting and diverse dancing and/or listening experience.
