I was born into the arts. My mother is a dancer and singer. My father is a singer and dancer. I've been told that i began singing before i could talk. I learned percussion and began playing keys at 5. Drums and bass came a bit later. When i was 14, i fell in love and wrote my first love song and never stopped since. From then on i taught myself more about engineering and producing which brought me to this very point. My parents eccentric musical knowledge is the foundation of my inspiration and is what gave me the tools to think and create 'out of the box' music.
Hope You All Like What You Hear!!
Bio:
Singer, dancer, producer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Temu Barcot
was given the gift of music as a child, and has been tearing it up on
stages around the world ever since.
Watching Temu perform, it can be hard to believe he’s really just one
person. He moves effortlessly from mellow soul to raged-filled rap, from
to talk-box p-funk to sophisticated ballads – covering an astonishingly
varied musical landscape in performances that are tightly focused, yet
warm and intensely human.
Depth is another word that comes to mind, and it’s no wonder: As a child
in NYC, Temu spent five years singing in the prestigious Boys Choir of
Harlem and The Young People’s Chorus of New York City – performing at
Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center and many other world-class venues.
Today, you’ll hear Temu’s voice on the multi-platinum hit “We’ll
Always Love Big Poppa” and on recent recordings by Denmark’s The Urban
Night Crew, The Majors and Negash Ali.
But do yourself a favor and hear this unsigned wunderkind in person –
always with a sizzling live band that makes sure Temu gets it real on
whatever musical journey he takes you.
Indaba's words:
When D'Angelo stepped into the studio to record Voodoo, he and ?uestlove found themselves diving into genres many had not considered mainstream, yet those sessions are now legendary. Temu Bacot, a New York native, has it in him to channel the same divine inspiration in his music. Temu is a multitalented singer, MC, engineer, and dancer, having performed since he was a child. Brought up in a musical family, his parents; influence helped form his distinctive sound. We were supremely impressed by Temu's music, and we think you will be too.

- How I Work:
At the moment im so busy with shows and other recordings therfore i dont really have the time to do online sessions or jams. However, if its a serious project and/or a decent sum of money involved, we can always negotiate.
I have access to all forms of recording possibilities so i can record practically anything from vocals to a 8 piece string or horn section. The majority of my musical contacts are students or graduates of prestigious music schools from L.A., N.Y., Scandinavia(Denmark, Sweden, etc), Eastern Europe(Czech Rep. etc), and more. The others have earned my respect either through their pure talent or level of experience. I can provide in nearly ALL forms of music from traditional folk music to Hiphop.
So once again, I will only do online sessions for serious inquiries and fair pay according to the workload.
- Experience:
I been a singer, dancer, percussionist and performer since the age of 5. At 13, i was playing drum set, piano, and djing when i began to put it all together to make my first full length song. Since then i have been producing and performing all kinds of styles of music while perfecting my skills as a studio and live mixing engineer. Here is a list of people i have either learned from, jammed, performed or collaborated with through my life time:

Werk it. Sick. Know you're busy, but adding you as a contact on here so I can keep an ear on your soundz.
Btw - who mixes your stuff? You? You then a dedicated mixing dude? Or just straight to the "pro mixologist"?! lol
just droping by man "dream girl" is a stuck in my head lol nice songs bra
Hi Temu, just stopping by because I love your music. Last night I made this reggaeton beat and when you showed me the update in our session you gave me an idea to put congas in the beat. So since im Puerto Rican I went all out and put congas, timbales and the cowbell in the beat like salsa. You'll hear these instruments come in like at 1 minute into the beat. Check it out, the beat is called "lost in reggaeton". Thanks and keep up the good work. You are an inspiration my brother!
GREAT "WERK" BRO..
U R UNIQUELY TALENTED.
STAY INSPIRED!!!
Bro that Up in Ya ears joint is banging i get exactly what u mean by syncopation, but u do need the right instrumental, a lot of instrumentals would not work with the sort of flow presented in "Up In Ya Ears"
that shits banging, one thing though, not really a criticism just an obseravation, a few bits in that british dudes and your verse seemed like u did not have enough breath to finish off the bar and u ended the bar quickly, u could be going for that sound but i thought id just mention it,
Peace,
DND
keep it up dawg
Temu, congratulations on being named Featured Artist. As I listened to your craft, I hear the soulful elements of The Gap Band, the fierce flow of Usher, and the futuristic funk of Roger Troutman and Zapp. Temu, I really enjoy the energy and excitement that is taking place in your music. Keep up the great work and may 2010 continue to bless you with positivity and success.
Peace and Rock On,
Allan Blanks

right, i understand where ur coming from so then what do u mean by accent? hit me up with a track to review, i'm only 17 so reviewing someone like urself in his 20s probably shouldnt be taken too seriously though. on behalf of engineering and mixing shit was done for free coz i cant mix for shit, listen to some of the other tracks uploaded, Zodak The Cosmic Enforcer/60 Bars Of Termination along with the track you've just heard were the only ones not mixed by me but i dont want feedback but if u wanna see how shit a mixer I am you'll listen to the other tracks lol.
Thank u very much isnt synocopation the same as accent? if not please expand? thanks a lot for focusing on my improvements man REALLY REALLY APPRECIATE IT. Hopefully next song ill be able to comeback better!!

This is a track that I was just itching to do, it's about my homeland South Africa and the problems with the country. If you don't believe me SUCK MY DICK, if you find it racist SUCK MY DICK, if you don't like this track SUCK MY DICK, other than that I's love some feedback. Thanks to my man Nascent for production and my boy AM for mixing and mastering.
