I love to play live more than anything, but my location makes it hard to find like-minded musicians to gig out with. I have found that I am enjoying learning how to record at home and love the challenge. I am using both Reaper and Cubase SX3 for software.
- Favorite Lyric:
"Wish I didn't know now what I didn't know then." Bob Seger - Against The Wind
"I asked her her name, she said her name was maybe" Damn Yankees - Coming Of Age

- How I Work:
I prefer to work with a click track as a reference. I find that I can still give it a good feel with the click, and it makes filesharing easier if everyone is using the same tempo map. I haven't learned the black art of Quantizing yet, so the tracks are what they were played as...............
I pretty much have my evenings free 7 days a week, and really only work 1-3 days a week during the day.
- Experience:
Been playing since I was 14, in country rock cover bands pretty much full time weekends from age 17. Lots of road time, bad food and lack of sleep. Have been in a couple pro studios and am now learning home recording for fun.
- Equipment:
Mapex and BasiX drumkits, Sabian Cymbals, Yamaha 01V mixer, Crate Power amps, Community and EV speakers, Roland TD10exp drum module, DDRUM pro drum triggers, Tascam U122L and Presonus Firestudio interfaces, Behringer ADA8000 ADAT preamp, Shure, AKG, Audix and Apex microphones.

Hi James !!! Sorry man, I have been pretty rude, it took me way too long to say "hi"... It is always good to know a drummer...
James, I do not want it to go unsaid that I greatly appreciate your insight and contribution to Bar Fight. I have a great respect for musicians and I truly am greatful for your wisdom and creativity. While Dave Young did the finished project, you played a vital role in its success and I just wanted to take the opportunity to express my gratitude. You are a talented musician and I envy your knowledge. I look forward to working with you in the future being that I have written over 200 songs, I could use all the help I could get...Kicker

Nice looking setup man !
