I've uploaded a few tracks to give an idea of my styles. Any labeled 'DEMO' are works in progress meaning I haven't done any hard core editing and polishing yet. In other words, reference recordings. Additional sampling in Lost @ Sea and Dub Overdrive by David Flick.

I've been exploring electronic music production since I was a teenager. Since becoming laid off in April '09 I've spent my time learning Ableton Live and building my studio. I hadn't had a real studio in many years. The time off has given me the opportunity to rekindle my love for music and generate material for a serious go at music.

I'd love to break into remixing. It's one of my favorite things to do. I could remix any old band every day of the week and have a good time doing it. I love warping what others have made into something completely new and different. To get paid for that would be a dream.

My tWitchcraft project represents my interest in glitchy IDM. Some of which is very experimental, but nearly all have a groovy core. Other projects will explore funky, jazzy flavors and more organic directions. I'm all about percussion and and odd syncopations. I love music/production that makes me think.

Working With Others

How I Work:

I like to jam and Ableton Live makes that a dream. This software has changed my life.

For my original music I use various methods. Some tracks are built around improvised instrumental jams. My favorite method is to play some electric piano then build the rest of the track around it. The more electronic tracks grow from improvising mixes of processed loops. I can get pretty obsessive about refining and editing, but that's part of my style. Too much fun to be had!

For remixing I generally totally rewrite the track. I enjoy building new music around existing vocals. I'll generally choose a few choice elements from the original and start everything else from scratch.

Experience:

I've been in bands, on compilations, have been signed to a small label, remixed for friends (under the name Occultechnologies), and enjoyed performing live. Nothing too serious, but it's time for that to change.

My old remix style (tracks 5 & 10):

Equipment:

Arp 2600, Korg MS-20, Roland Jupiter 6, Access Virus TI, etc.

Ableton Live 8, VSTs...

Hey man,

Sorry if you took my comments to be directed towards you.
It was not the case at all. I was just making a general comment on how an opportunity like this give us all ways to expand our creativity and learn from it. Didn't even see your comment so not directed at you at all :)
All the best,
Pedro

Long before we ever talked I always enjoyed your Occultechnologies remixes for Android Lust.. It's an interesting synchronicity that we both had remixes on the same album and that everything has panned out...
YOUR stuff is amazing and I am grateful to always get your input and your years of experience has helped me greatly..
