About Me

Skill Level:
Semi-Pro
Instruments:
harmonica, electric guitar
Genres:
chicago blues, blues, blues-rock
Influences:
Little Walter, Paul Butterfield,, The Band, Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker, Leadbelly, Mississippi John Hurt, B.B. King, Bobby Blue Bland, Jimi Hendrix, Bob Dylan, Django Reinhardt, Tommy Emmanuel, Leo Kottke, Lightnin' Hopkins, Blind Willie Mctell, Howlin Wolf, Big Bill Broonzy, Nina Simone, Eric Clapton, Jethro Tull

I love most kinds of music, but especially the blues. The first kind of music I ever really fell in love with. If I could do one thing for the rest of my life, I would play blues harp and die a happy man.

Working With Others

How I Work:

My father always taught me that instead of worrying about making mistakes, it's best to just make music, and that's what I'd like to do. I think the blues is a form of music that has gone unappreciated lately. So, I work by playing the blues.

Experience:

I was taught to play harmonica by my uncle Fred, and I taught myself guitar. I've been playing for nine and eight years, respectively. Played some shows, some open mics, but never managed to piece a band together.

Equipment:

I play Lee Oskar Harmonicas, except for the key of A, for which I use a Hohner Special 20. I have a Gibson B.B. King Lucille, a Gibson Les Paul Studio and a Walden acoustic. Vox and Fender amplifiers.
