Trip Marks The Hop is the brainchild of Damokles Stephanos, a classically trained musician who has performed in over forty concertos worldwide. In 2006 Damokles' musical career took a turn in the direction of electronica as he became highly involved in the creation and production of Drum and Bass, Jungle, Ambient, and Trance music with some of the genres top performers and producers in both the U.S. and the U.K.

Trip Marks The Hop is a consortium of like-minded musicians dedicated to the engendering of innovative and atypical forms of electronic based music with the goal of producing songs that appeal to more than just the "pop" listener.

Trip Marks The Hop has an open door policy, and does not constrict the artist's creative vision with boundaries and obstacles common to the music industry. After all is said and done our goal is to produce "music that matters" as opposed to making wads of money off of fifteen minute sensations that are here today and gone tomorrow.

Working With Others

How I Work:

Life is a unique and dynamic journey paved with both smooth and bumpy roads. As a traveler in this experience called life, I am always open to meeting new and interesting people.

Presently, Trip Marks The Hop is looking to collaborate with innovative and creative composers and musicians to engender atypical forms of electronic based music.

Trip Marks The Hop is in dire need of a female singer/songwriter who is a connoisseur of various forms of electronic music (i.e. drum and bass, jungle, ambient, trance, techno, etc.) to work closely with Damokles Stephanos in hopes of composing selections for a future CD release.

Organa Amor is a fucking tune!!!!

I don't see Photek/Tech itch in your influences, but I'm sure you must be into them?? Well this track kinda reminded me of Photek/Tech itch esque Dubstep/trip hop... sorry if that's off, I mean it as a compliment!!

Kinda like uk.youtube.com/watch?v=9qJKxaWb0_A and uk.youtube.com/watch?v=vGpisBjgyf0

If you get time check out our old skool Roots DnB remix. We've got some DubStep/trip hop/breakbeat/etc to come... kinda like your motto, we have a taste for a variety of Electronic music and we're not particularly loyal to one. This remix probably isn't a good example of how we want to push the creative envelop!

Cheers

Cheers.

Okeydoke, with any of the existing tracks there are 2 general ways of working, 1 is to take the beats of and just have me add new beats and other little bits where I find space, alternatively I can do a classic Chicago sampler job, this would basically involve me taking any one of the tracks and knocking about 20 hits out of it and then remixing from that. We could also go the other direction where I throw you a premade beat, you add some fx, i add bass, you keys etc.. If I had to ask for one track in particular it would be "Heraldry of the Magus", chiefly because I find the name quite inspiring, let me know your thoughts B

love the sounds man! I would love to work with any of these tracks if you're interested in chicago house at all, the tracks would provide a stunning backdrop to the kinda thing I do. if you get a chance can you have a listen to mine and give feedback, maybe even give it a vote, http://www.clearspring.com/widgets/486941519babcea7?p=4869619f414b0915&flv=submission%5Fid%3D2486%26api%5Fhost%3Dbowery please keep in mind tho that I am in no way limited to this kinda stuff, hope you are interested Take care B
