DIRTY SHIRT NEW ALBUM
Created by M.T.
Hello guys. This summer with my band Dirty Shirt, we will record a new album. And I thought that it will be really interesting to include some "external" artists. Like this, our music could have some fresh ideeas. So, I thought that I could benefit from Indaba platform and the great musicians I met here, to try to make some collaborations for our next album. What I am searching: generally introducing industrial-electro-dub-noise-experimental-etc... sounds-loops-fx-etc... for our songs. But it is not "restrictive" and any good ideea will be taken :). The songs are mainly done, so don't need remixes, but rather intervetions that match with the music. Where are we now: for instant, I recorded some instrumental drafts for almost all new songs. It's recorded at home, at once, without interest on mix/mastering. The ideea is to have some basis for composition, arrangements, rehearsals, lyrics,... and now also for collaborations. There will be more songs, and we will choose after recording, which will be included on the album. For several drafts, we already composed the vocals and the lyrics. What I can offer: we don't have the budget to pay for collaborations, it's very likely that we will lose money again (with sales difficult to cover studio-mix-mastering-production costs). But of course, every participant will be mentioned on the CD, on the videos for the selected songs, etc... And obviously, we will send the CD to each one. Also, by participating to our album, you agree to let us use freely your parts on the album, but also live. How it will work: if there are people interested, I will upload each draft and giving informations about harmonies, tempo, vocals, etc...Meanwhile you can listen several sequences and one complete song on our soundcloud: http://soundcloud.com/dirtyshirtoriginal There are 2 work in progress with parts from different songs and Gipsy Party, which is complete. Info about the album: the album will be recorded in july-august in Romania, will be mixed and mastered in US, at Mudrock studio in L.A. (septembre-november). In november-december we will make our first video from this album and in the beginig of 2013 the second one. Probably in february-march the album will be out, with (we hope) a third video and a tour. Soon (if necessary) I will upload the drafts, lyrics, etc...
