ANNE & MARTY wrote on November 13, 2008 :
GREAT! i'll let it go and be delighted when if and when it reappears.

you sure have a way with rhythm.
i am mightily impressed.

Ben Christa wrote on November 13, 2008 :
Hi Anne, yes, today I looked at my studio email account and found the two files (yousendit...) Thanks a lot! I forwarded these files to my bassplayer in germany, let's see, what happens now...

see ya
Benny

ANNE & MARTY wrote on November 11, 2008 :
i sent you all my files, Ben. did you get them?

Ben Christa wrote on November 1, 2008 :
Anne, not a problem.. Have a good time, see ya!

ANNE & MARTY wrote on October 30, 2008 :
Ben - i'm out of town until Sunday - so you'll get the files next week!

Ben Christa wrote on October 30, 2008 :
Hi Anne, yes, all the wavs dry without efx etc... also the files from Bill.
Thanks a lot and see ya
Benny

ANNE & MARTY wrote on October 28, 2008 :
sure benny - can do. i am familiar with you send it.
shall i send 3 separate dry wavs?
can you receive a ZIPPED file of all 3?
do you want bill's various trax?

Ben Christa wrote on October 28, 2008 :
Hi Anne, a friend of mine, a german bassplayer wants to add a bassline, but also want to do a new mix of the song. (He has all the needed really professional equipment etc..and the knowledge..). So, my question: is it possible to send your vocals (only the vocals) as a track, e.g. as a wav via www.yousendit.com (there it is possible, to send big files (no costs) or as an mp3 e.g. to my email in my studio: bcstickstudio@googlemail.com
Thanks,
Benny

ANNE & MARTY wrote on October 23, 2008 :
think how good it would sound if we sang and played it now
like we knew it was gonna come out like this.

ben - how good to see you're alive and well!

listen guys - i have all of your separate tracks
there is actually a whole lot more percussion - i faded it about half way thru.
if you want me to zip them up and send them to you or upload here - let me know.

for a song that started off pure percussion and then attracted a chinese piano, with vocals laid down in the middle of it all, i really enjoy listening to its energy.

ANNE & MARTY wrote on October 20, 2008 :
the song wouldn't be the same without your crazy, lurching, delightful piano, bill.
this is one of my favorites.
anne

vectorstation 2 wrote on October 20, 2008 :
my, my, thats lovely, and amospheric anne! i had no idea of that nice an outcome! dynomite! lyrics are so so "RIGHT"!!!! thanks for using my piano ideas!!! bill

ANNE & MARTY wrote on October 12, 2008 :
benny and bill - i know we had plans to possibly rebuild this from the ground up - but i think the energy of it as you guys originally played it is CRAZY GREAT.

i resang everything today, beefed up the vocals a bit.
i'm feeling done with it - so a big THANK YOU to both of you!

Hi Daniel, these weeks I'm very busy to play live and to record drums for bands, so for the next time I will have no time to do something here. But in a few month again, no problem. I can open a new session, as I do this with german musicians collaborations and also in Canada, United States. see ya later? www.jazziz.de Benny

ANNE & MARTY wrote on April 14, 2008 :
benny - i'm glad you're not beating me with a stick to get going on this - i've just been mega-busy.
great to hear you are HOOKED UP!

Hi!
Latest news: my drum-basement is now connected with the world wide web. I'm now busy with some band projects here in Saskatoon. So, I think to need a bit of time to set up my sound and all other actions. Then we can forward the latin session. Wir haben ja keinen Zeitdruck... We have time, time!! Last but not least I'm glad to start step by step with all the preparations. Good to be here...thanks god!
Benny

ANNE & MARTY wrote on April 6, 2008 :
hi, benny!
good to know you're settling in.
i'm a bit overwhelmed with musical projects right now, but a few more off my plate, and i'll be ready for I STEP OUT resurrection.

Ben Christa wrote on April 6, 2008 :
Hi Bill, Anne!
These days I'll finish the installation of my drumset and mics etc.. (@Bill: now I have 220V...yeahh).
We can forward our musical actions, if there is a interest. I'll need a bit of time for connecting my stuff to the internet in the "basement-studio".
see and hear you here?
Ben

Ben Christa wrote on March 21, 2008 :
hi bill, most of my electrical stuff has only 220V, only my dell-pc has an switch to 110V. Today or tomorrow I will find a solution with my landlord. We take the plugins from the stoven and dryer in basement to create 220V. If that works, I can start with music...yeahh..Today on Good Friday I have my rest and only drinking coffee and hanging around...you know...
until later
ben

alot of american[110 volt] stuff has places on back to swith over to 220 etc,,, not sure about yours..there are external power convertors that could do the job but they will cost something... be careful volts and amps of that type is dangergous of course.
get much rest--you need it.

Ben Christa wrote on March 15, 2008 :
Hi Bill! Thanks a lot for your warm words! Today our container arrived and we had to unload within 2 hours. We had organized help from 10 people (partially we know them, the others were workers of my new company) : And we are ready within 1.15h (blood and sweat) Now I have my drumsets here and will install everything during the next time. Its hard for me to learn english, the whole day at the company only ...., I told my boss for a minute a story in german so he knows what it means to understand only parts of the whole discussions.. But we will make it, I' m sure! Today I'm ready for bed.........I have a problem with the electricity here. 110 V here, my equipment without converters do not work.. I heard that it would be possible to make 220 V (which I need for my european tech) out of the cables here... Do you have herefore any information for me? So, must go to bed...bin echt fertig für heute...Saskatoon ist o.k.., made first contacts to musicians here... mal sehen... we stay in contact...............Ben(ny)

vectorstation 2 wrote on March 13, 2008 :
glad to know you made it... i determined original drum track and my piano therefore is at 100.024 bpm.
hope that helps--i'm kinda back here but then no one really cares i suppose....i can not imagine moving a couch from room to room much less my life to another country... i admire your courage and efforts benny,
bill

Ben Christa wrote on March 2, 2008 :
hi, sorry anne, I don't know it and cannot control the BMP, because I haven't anything here. The percussion loop is from a m3 and my normal setting in my spd-s (roland sampler) is 120 bpm. I assume the tempo is roundabout 120. Do it in a tempo you feel good, no problem if its not too far away from 120, e.g. 110-130. Hope this will help you....Benny

ANNE & MARTY wrote on March 2, 2008 :
benny - one more time, please: what is the tempo/BPM?

anne

ANNE & MARTY wrote on March 1, 2008 :
hello, benny! great to see you made it.

i shall now apply myself to our project.
i'm happy to see you here again,
anne

Ben Christa wrote on March 1, 2008 :
Hi, I'm now since 2 weeks in Canada. Since two days I have internet connection. My drumsets will arrive in a few days... I've to solve some problems with the electricity for my equipment (220V in Europe and 110 V in CA) So, I think in a few weeks I will be ready for further musical action...see you and hear from you?, Benny

Ben Christa wrote on February 2, 2008 :
Hi Anne, this will be my last posting for the next weeks. Tomorrow I have to remove the last thing in our house... the computer. Today we had a lot of trouble with the owners of our rented house... they are shit-people, nazis, you know what I mean?
Theme: Obama / Clinton : I really hope that the time of such persons like bush are ending and the USA have a new chance to go back what AMERICA is! Freedom, Future... I would like to have Obama as president, but think like you : never , never a oil-man like bush! I have relationship in USA (Pittsburgh) and I like all of them.. Alright, we meet again later in march or so...Saskatoon is waiting..
best wishes, Benny
