I left the lead vocal part in tact (except for cutting out the chorus), played along with the "melody" of Laurie's speech, harmonized it and orchestrated it. She "said everything that I wanted to say....only better." It was truly a pleasure to work with Laurie's voice and words, having been a big fan of hers for as long as I can remember.
